SAC-FiC Programa de Residència Curatorial és el nou programa de residències de Sant Andreu Contemporani i Fabra i Coats – Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona, adreçat a comissaris internacionals. En el marc d’aquest programa, s’obre una convocatòria per a seleccionar un comissari internacional, que formarà part del jurat del Concurs d’Arts Visuals Premi Miquel Casablancas 2018 i desenvoluparà un projecte curatorial amb una selecció dels artistes presentats a concurs. El projecte haurà de ser presentat al país de residència del comissari. La residència cobreix els honoraris per la deliberació del premi i la proposta curatorial (1.700 €), la producció de l’exposició (2.000 €), l’allotjament i els viatges.

L’objectiu de la convocatòria és oferir un coneixement personal del context artístic a través de la convocatòria del Premi Miquel Casablancas i fomentar col·laboracions futures entre agents locals i estrangers en el marc de l’art jove.

El termini d’inscripció será del 14 de desembre de 2017 al 20 de gener de 2018. El formulari de registre es tancarà a les 24 h del 20 de gener i no s’acceptaran sol·licituds més enllà d’aquest horari. En cas d’incidències amb el formulari de registre on-line caldrà fer arribar la documentació requerida per correu electrònic abans de les 24 h del 20 de gener de 2018.

El candidat seleccionat es farà públic el 10 de febrer de 2018.

SAC-FIC Curatorial Residency Program 2018 is the new residency program at Barcelona’s Sant Andreu Contemporary and Fabra i Coats - Fabrica de Creació available to international curators. As part of the program, we are announcing an open call for proposals to choose an international curator who will be part of the Miquel Casablancas Prize for the Visual Arts’ jury in 2018, and will later develop a curatorial project with a selection of artists chosen from applicants to the prize. The project must be presented at the country of residence of the curator. The residency covers the expenses of jurying the prize and for the curatorial proposal (1,700 €), for the production of the exhibition (2,000 €), accommodation and travel.

The purpose of the open call is to offer the curator personal knowledge of the art context through involvement in the jury of the Miquel Casablancas Prize, and to foster, in the context of young art talent, future collaborations between local and foreign cultural actors.

The registration period to send the application is going to be from December 14th, 2017, to January 20th, 2018. The submission form will be available at the website until midnight, January 20th. No applications will be accepted after this time. In case of incidents with the online registration, the required documents should then be sent by mail before midnight, January 20th, 2018.

The selected applicant will be announced on February 10th, 2018.
