El jurat de SAC International Curatorial Residency Program 2021 format per Eva Sòria (Institut Ramon Llull) i Carles Sala (Institut de Cultura de Barcelona), junt amb l’equip gestor de Sant Andreu Contemporani (Jordi Pino, director; i Zaida Trallero i Pablo G. Polite, comissària i comissari), ha adjudicat la residència a concurs a la comissària d’art Kiki Petratou. Alessandra Franetovich ha estat finalista.
La comissària formarà part del jurat del Concurs d’Arts Visuals Premi Miquel Casablancas 2021 i desenvoluparà un projecte curatorial amb una selecció dels artistes presentats a concurs. El projecte haurà de ser presentat a la galeria JOEY RAMONE Gallery de Rotterdam (Països Baixos) durant el 2021.
L’1 de febrer a les 24h va finalitzar el període d’inscripció per a la convocatòria de SAC International Curatorial Residency Program 2021. En total, es van rebre vint propostes procedents de països com Algèria, Anglaterra, Brasil, Colòmbia, Cuba, Estats Units, Haití, Itàlia, Mèxic, Països Baixos, Polònia, Tunísia i Ucraïna.
SAC International Curatorial Residency Program és una iniciativa de Sant Andreu Contemporani amb la participación de l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona i l’Institut Ramon Llull. L’objectiu de la convocatòria és oferir un coneixement personal del context artístic a través de la convocatòria del Premi Miquel Casablancas i fomentar col·laboracions futures entre agents locals i estrangers en el marc de l’art jove.

The selection committee comprised of Eva Sòria (Institut Ramon Llull) and Carles Sala (Institut de Cultura of Barcelona), together with the management team of Sant Andreu Contemporani (Jordi Pino, director, and Zaida Trallero and Pablo G. Polite, curators), has awarded the residence in competition to the art curator Kiki Petratou. Alessandra Franetovich has been finalist.
The curator will be part of the Miquel Casablancas Prize for the Visual Arts’ jury in 2021, and will later develop a curatorial project with a selection of artists chosen from applicants to the prize. The project must be presented at JOEY RAMONE Gallery in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) during 2021.
On February 1st at 24h the registration period for SAC International Curatorial Residency Program 2021 ended. In total, twenty proposals were received from countries such as Algeria, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, England, Italy, Haiti, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Tunisia, United States, and Ukraine.
SAC International Curatorial Residency Program is an initiative from Sant Andreu Contemporani with the participation of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and the Institut Ramon Llull. The purpose of the open call is to offer a personal knowledge of the art context through involvement in the jury of the Miquel Casablancas Prize, and to foster, in the context of young art talent, future collaborations between local and foreign cultural actors.
