El jurado de SAC-FiC Programa de Residencia Curatorial 2018 formado por Eva Sòria Puig (Institut Ramon Llull) y Oriol Gual Dalmau (Institut de Cutura de Barcelona), junto con el equipo gestor de Sant Andreu Contemporani (Jordi Pino, director; y Zaida Trallero y Pablo G. Polite, comisarios), ha adjudicado la residencia en concurso al comisario de arte Xavier Acarín Wieland.
El comisario formará parte del jurado del Concurs d’Arts Visuals Premi Miquel Casablancas 2018 y desarrollará un proyecto curatorial con una selección de los artistas presentados a concurso. El proyecto deberá ser presentado en la Muu Gallery de Helsinki (Finlandia) durante 2018.
El 20 de enero a las 24h finalizó el periodo de inscripción para la convocatoria de SAC-FiC Programa de Residencia Curatorial 2018. En total, se recibieron catorce propuestas procedentes de países como Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Italia, Irak, México, Serbia, Tailandia, UK y USA.
SAC-FiC Programa de Residencia Curatorial es una iniciativa de Sant Andreu Contemporani con la participación del Institut de Cultura de Barcelona y el Institut Ramon Llull. El objetivo de la convocatoria es ofrecer un conocimiento personal del contexto artístico a través de la convocatoria del Premi Miquel Casablancas y fomentar colaboraciones futuras entre agentes locales y extranjeros en el marco del arte joven.

The selection committee comprised of Eva Sòria Puig (Institut Ramon Llull) and Oriol Gual Dalmau (Institut de Cutura of Barcelona), together with the management team of Sant Andreu Contemporani (Jordi Pino, director, and Zaida Trallero and Pablo G. Polite, curators), has awarded the residence in competition to the art curator Xavier Acarín Wieland.
The curator will be part of the Miquel Casablancas Prize for the Visual Arts’ jury in 2018, and will later develop a curatorial project with a selection of artists chosen from applicants to the prize. The project must be presented at the Muu Gallery in Helsinki (Finland) during 2018.
On January 20 at 24h the registration period for SAC-FiC Curatorial Residency Program 2018 ended. In total, fourteen proposals were received from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, Iraq, Mexico, Serbia, Thailand, UK and USA.
SAC-FiC Curatorial Residency Program is an initiative from Sant Andreu Contemporani with the participation of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona and the Institut Ramon Llull. The purpose of the open call is to offer a personal knowledge of the art context through involvement in the jury of the Miquel Casablancas Prize, and to foster, in the context of young art talent, future collaborations between local and foreign cultural actors.
