SAC Programa de Residència Curatorial Internacional 2025 és el programa de residències de Sant Andreu Contemporani, coproduït amb l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB), en col·laboració amb Fabra i Coats – Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona, dirigit a comissaris/àries internacionals. En el marc d’aquest programa, s’obre una convocatòria per a seleccionar un/a comissari/ària internacional, que formarà part del jurat de la Convocatòria d’Arts Visuals Miquel Casablancas 2025 i desenvoluparà un projecte curatorial amb una selecció d’artistes del context català, presentats a concurs. El projecte haurà de ser presentat al país de residència del comissari/ària o a un altre espai internacional que decideixi. La residència cobreix els honoraris per la deliberació del premi i la proposta curatorial (2.000 €, impostos i retencions incloses), les despeses de gestió i de producció de l’exposició (2.000 €, impostos i retencions incloses), l’allotjament i els viatges de desplaçament.

L’objectiu de la convocatòria és oferir un coneixement personal del context artístic a través de la Convocatòria d’Arts Visuals Miquel Casablancas i fomentar col·laboracions internacionals futures entre agents locals i estrangers en el marc de l’art jove.

Per una qüestió de sostenibilitat i de recursos de la convocatòria, l’àmbit geogràfic que es contempla per a les propostes és Europa, la Mediterrània i el Magreb.

El termini d’inscripció serà de l’1 de desembre de 2024 a l’1 de març de 2025. El formulari de registre es tancarà a les 24 h de l’1 de març de 2025 i no s’acceptaran sol·licituds més enllà d’aquest horari. En cas d’incidències amb el formulari de registre on-line caldrà fer arribar la documentació requerida per correu electrònic abans de les 24 h de l’1 de març de 2025.

SAC International Curatorial Residency Program 2025 is the residency program at Barcelona’s Sant Andreu Contemporani, co-produced with Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB), in collaboration with Fabra i Coats - Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona, available to international curators. As part of the program, we are announcing an open call for proposals to choose an international curator who will be part of the Miquel Casablancas Prize for the Visual Arts’ jury in 2025, and will later develop a curatorial project with a selection of catalan artists chosen from applicants to the prize. The project must be presented at the country of residence of the curator or in another international venue that she/he decides. The residency covers the expenses of jurying the prize and for the curatorial proposal (2,000 € subject to applicable taxes), the management and production costs of the exhibition (2,000 € subject to applicable taxes), accommodation and travel.

The purpose of the open call is to offer the curator personal knowledge of the art context through involvement in the jury of the Miquel Casablancas Prize, and to foster, in the context of young art talent, future collaborations between local and foreign cultural actors.

For reasons of sustainability and resource requirements, the geographical scope contemplated for the proposals is Europe, the Mediterranean and the Maghreb.

The registration period to send the application is going to be from December 1st, 2024, to March 1st, 2025. The submission form will be available at the website until midnight, March 1st, 2025. No applications will be accepted after this time. In case of incidents with the online registration, the required documents should then be sent by mail before midnight, March 1st, 2025.

The selected applicant will be announced on March 14th, 2025.
